‘Fords by the Lake Show ‘n’ Shine, Sunday 6th March

After a year’s break, our annual event at Lake Pertobe was back. Sunday was cool but fine weather wise, perfect for enjoying the display of some of the finest the Ford Motor Company has produced over the years. The committee tried a simpler approach this year, in an effort to make it a relaxed, enjoyable day. We also introduced some extra activities for the kids, or young at heart. Everything worked well. The club would like to congratulate all the prize winners.

Special mention to our sponsors for the day, please support these business wherever possible as they are pivotal to the success of the day: Sheds Galore Hamilton, Autobarn Warrnambool, Lowes Auto Repairs, Port Fairy Tyre and Battery Service, Silverton Park Indoor Go-Karts Warrnambool.

Thank you to everyone who participated, either by entering a car, helping with setting up and running the event, or coming along to see the cars on show.

Cruise to Gellibrand, Saturday 23rd April.

This cruise started at what has become a regular spot for the club over the past year, Modelbarn Terang. A great place, with a few club members purchasing some additions to their model collections.

After what seemed too short a time perusing the colossal range of models, we cruised to Gellibrand River, in the Otways. The road took us through some spectacular rainforest, finally arriving at our destination of the town’s pub for lunch. A magnificent choice, with everybody thoroughly enjoying their lunch. If you missed it, don’t worry, the club is sure to be going back soon.

Cruise to Boggy Creek Pub, Saturday 29th August.

In what has become an almost annual event, the club embarked on another cruise to the Boggy Creek Pub, in Curdievale.

We set off from our usual point, Flagstaff Hill, with a short cruise to Allansford where we stopped at CheeseWorld and had morning tea. From there, we decided to cruise out to Terang and check out Modelbarn. This place is truly a gem of the Southwest. If you haven’t been, or not for a while, it is a highly recommended place to visit. Model cars, trucks, tractors, trains, ships, farm equipment, planes and much more stacked floor to ceiling. Something for everyone.

We then cruised to Curdievale and had another great lunch at the pub in front of the fire.
